Singapore, 1970. Customers fill Ahmad’s songkok shop. He sees a future for his sons at the workbench. Rashid sees his future somewhere else.

Watching from the doorway is twelve-year-old Salim. In a shop built on the work of generations, a family begins to pull apart.
